President of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

1) decides on conscription of military personnel for special military training in order to fulfill the tasks of territorial defense;

2) defines the system of organization of territorial defense;

3) exercise other powers in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Territorial Defense dated June 30, 2025 No. 201-VIII SAM

This Law regulates public relations in the field of territorial defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
